BCFSA Launches Service Centre to Answer your Real Estate Licensing and Mortgage Broker Registration Questions

On April 15, BCFSA launched a new Service Centre, to handle telephone enquiries related to education, real estate licensing and mortgage broker registration.

When you call BCFSA, you will be prompted to choose from updated options before being directed to the appropriate live Service Centre representative. This allows us to better direct you to BCFSA Team Members who will be able to answer questions and provide information and assistance in real time. As this is a newly implemented system, there may be some brief delays during the transition. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide more timely service to real estate licensees and mortgage brokers. Please note that BCFSA’s current phone numbers are not changing. BCFSA’s other information services, including Reception and Practice Standards Advisors, will also continue to be available.

All other BCFSA segments (insurance, pension plans, credit unions, and trust companies) will continue to use the same contact information as before.

We have compiled some frequently asked questions below for your information. Don’t hesitate to contact us should you require more information.

  • The Service Centre will be open during normal business hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Callers contacting the Service Centre after hours and on weekends and statutory holidays will be able to leave a voicemail. Those calls will be returned during business hours on the next business day.

  • Yes, enquiries related to education for both real estate and mortgage brokers will be handled by the Service Centre team. Complex enquiries or those involving applications in process may require a referral to the appropriate team.

  • Enquiries of a general nature should be directed to the Service Centre. If you have received direct communication from a team member on a specific matter, you should continue to deal directly with that individual.

Thank you again for your patience as we launch our new Service Centre and we look forward to serving you soon.
