Summary
A discipline committee of the Real Estate Council of British Columbia (the “Council”) accepted the Consent Order Proposal submitted by Kai Kang (“Mr. Kang”) on his own behalf and on behalf of Roy Kang Personal Real Estate Corporation (“Kang PREC”) , and found that Mr. Kang and Kang PREC committed professional misconduct when they:
- Advertised a “Team Roy Kang” and then operated as “Team Roy Kang” and acted as the team leader when that team name had not been approved by the Council.
Results
A discipline committee of the Council has ordered, and Mr. Kang and Kang PREC has agreed to, the following penalties:
- Jointly and severally liable to pay a discipline penalty of $5,000; and
- Jointly and severally liable to pay enforcement expenses of $1,500.
