Step 1: Create a profile and submit your application

Start by creating a profile and submitting your application for any open position that matches your skills and experience. Our Talent Acquisition team will carefully review your qualifications to ensure they align with the role’s requirements.

Step 2: Application review

If your application meets the criteria, it will be shortlisted for the next step in the hiring process. A member of our Talent Acquisition team may reach out to request additional details or clarify any information.

Step 3: Assessment (if applicable)

For certain roles, we may invite you to complete a role-specific assessment. This is your chance to demonstrate your technical abilities and how they align with the position’s requirements.

Step 4: Interview

If you pass the assessment stage, you’ll be invited to an interview. Our interviews are behaviour-and situational-based, including role-related questions. We recommend that candidates familiarize themselves with the STAR method and practice using it before their interview. A selection committee of at least two BCFSA leaders, usually from the department hiring the role, will conduct the interview to provide multiple perspectives. This is also a great opportunity for you to learn more about us and see if the role aligns with your career goals.

Step 5: Reference check

If you are the successful candidate selected for the role, you will be asked to provide two professional references. This helps us verify your skills, experience, and suitability for the position.

Step 6: Offer

Providing you pass the reference check stage, we’ll call to extend a verbal offer, discussing details such as salary, benefits, and your potential start date. A formal written offer will follow shortly after.

We value the time and effort you invest in our recruitment process.

If you participate in an assessment or interview, we are committed to providing individual feedback upon request. We hope this helps you reflect, grow, and succeed when applying for future opportunities.

If you are not selected for the role, you can expect to be notified via email. We encourage you to stay connected and consider applying for future opportunities at BCFSA that match your skills and interests.
