Updated Disclosure of Interest in Trade Forms

Two new Disclosure of Interest in Trade forms are available for real estate licensees to provide to consumers.

What’s New?

The content remains the same, but there are now two separate forms – one for buying or selling, and another for renting or leasing.

Disclosure of Interest in Trade (Buying or Selling)

Licensees must provide the Disclosure of Interest in Trade (Buying or Selling) form to consumers who are:

  • Selling real estate that the licensee or their associate intends to acquire an interest in; or
  • Buying real estate that the licensee or their associate has an interest in.

See the Disclosure of Interest in Trade (Buying or Selling) form.

Disclosure of Interest in Trade (Renting or Leasing)

Licensees must provide the Disclosure of Interest in Trade (Renting or Leasing) form to consumers who are:

  • Renting or leasing real estate to a licensee or their associate, and they intend to be the consumer’s tenant, unless they are exempt from this disclosure requirement under section 53(2) of the Real Estate Services Rules; or
  • Intending to rent or lease real estate that the licensee or their associate has an interest in.

See the Disclosure of Interest in Trade (Renting or Leasing) form.
