BCFSA Contact Information

Do you have questions for BCFSA staff, and aren’t sure where to turn for answers? This article will help.

Licensing Questions

Are you seeking to become licensed for the first time, or looking for information on renewing, transferring, or reinstating your licence? You’ll want to talk to BCFSA’s Licensing Team. You can contact the Team by emailing licensing@bcfsa.ca.

Remember, real estate licensees must renew their licences every two years. BCFSA will email you instructions for renewing your licence approximately eight weeks before your licence expires. To renew your licence, log in to the IRIS Portal and follow our step-by-step guide.

Continuing Education

You have mandatory continuing education courses to complete within your two-year licensing period. These courses ensure professionals obtain, maintain, and enhance the skills necessary to protect the public and ensure awareness of emerging trends and issues.

BCFSA’s Education Team can help you with education-related inquiries and can be reached at education@bcfsa.ca. You can also read through our Education and Licensing FAQs page.

You can also log in to the IRIS Portal to review which courses you have already completed.

Practice Standards Advice

Do you have other questions about the standards of conduct required of real estate professionals or developers, or about unlicensed real estate services activities?

Our Practice Standards Advisors provide information about rules, regulations, and standards of conduct, and offer confidential email and telephone responses to your questions.

There are some limits to the assistance that Practice Standards Advisors can provide. Check the website for more information.

Email advisor@bcfsa.ca to contact a Practice Standards Advisor. Before reaching out to a Practice Standards Advisor, we encourage you to check out BCFSA’s Real Estate Knowledge Base, which contains regulatory resources, links to legislation, disclosure forms, and more.

Remember to check the Real Estate Services Act, Real Estate Services Regulation, or Real Estate Services Rules, or your managing broker for more information. There are many sources of help!
