Forum Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the 2025 Financial Services Sector Forum (“the Forum”), organized by BC Financial Services Authority (“BCFSA”). By registering for and attending the Forum, you agree to comply with these terms.

2. Eligibility and Registration

• Invitation-Only Access: The Forum is not open to the public. Attendance is by invitation only, and space is limited. At the Forum, BCFSA may ask you to provide identification matching the name on your registration.
• Registration: Registration is carried out via the Showpass ticketing platform.
• Registration Deadline: All registrations must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Early registration is strongly encouraged due to limited seating.
• Ticket Transfers: If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another individual within your organization. Transfer requests must be submitted via email to registration@bcfsa.ca by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to registration@bcfsa.ca by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025.
• No refunds will be issued after this deadline or on-site at the Forum (except in case of BCFSA cancellation or postponement of the Forum).
• Registrations are transferable as outlined above.

4. Code of Conduct

All attendees are expected to:

• Treat others with respect and professionalism.
• Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.
• Follow all instructions from event staff and organizers.

5. Non-Compliance

BCFSA reserves the right to refuse admittance or remove any attendee who violates these terms and conditions, without any liability or obligation to refund.

6. Privacy and Data Use

• By registering, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information for event administration purposes. BCFSA’s Privacy Policy can be accessed via this link: Privacy Policy.

• The Forum may be recorded or photographed, and images may be posted on BCFSA’s website or in other BCFSA promotional or outreach materials without further approval from you or any payment to you. By attending, you consent to the use of your image and likeness for such purposes and acknowledge that this personal information will be collected under section 26 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. If you would prefer not to be photographed, please inform the photographer.

7. Event Changes

BCFSA reserves the right to:

• Modify the event schedule, content, speakers, or venue.
• Cancel or postpone the Forum due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, registered participants will be notified via email and BCFSA’s liability to you will be limited to the refund of the ticket price.

8. Liability Disclaimer

• Attendees participate at their own risk. BCFSA is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, liability or damage incurred in connection with the Forum or the use of Showpass.
• Any views expressed by speakers during the Forum are their own, and BCFSA will not be liable in respect of any advice given or views expressed by any speakers or participants.
• Successful registration entitles you to admission to the Forum. Any and all other costs associated with attendance (including travel or accommodation costs) will be borne solely by you, and in no event will BCFSA be liable for such costs.

9. Intellectual Property

• All Forum content, including presentations and materials, is the intellectual property of BCFSA or its presenters.
• Attendees may not record, reproduce, or distribute any content without the prior written permission of BCFSA.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
