Personal Mortgage Corporation (PMC) Acknowledgement Form

BCFSA has published the Acknowledgement Form described under Scenario 1 in How to Incorporate a Personal Mortgage Corporation. As a reminder, under Scenario 1, the submortgage broker’s personal corporation is already registered with BCFSA as a mortgage brokerage, but it does not operate as a full‑scale brokerage. The submortgage broker intends to wind up this registered brokerage and use their personal corporation as part of a licensed PMC under the MSA after October 13, 2026.

Under Scenario 1, you must complete the activities and submit the PMC Acknowledgement Form by May 29, 2026.

BCFSA strongly recommends obtaining professional accounting and/or legal advice when considering whether to incorporate, amend corporate structure, amend share ownership, or dissolve a company.

Process for Submitting an Acknowledgement Form
  • Review and sign the PMC Acknowledgement Form.
  • Sign the PMC Acknowledgement Form and include it in your Terminate Mortgage Broker application in IRIS, along with your final filing—either Form 12 or Forms 13, 14, and 15—as well as the wind‑up form, Form 17.
    • Note: Please upload the completed PMC Acknowledgement Form to the Additional Documents section on the Requirements page within the same IRIS submission.
